S.Module 563

The S.Module 563 is a complete high performance signal processing system with Freescale's DSP56311.
The DSP56311 is a  24 bit fixed-point processor  with a peak performance up to 150 MIPS at 150 MHz. The on-chip enhanced filter coprocessor (EFCOP) processes filter algorithms in parallel with core operations and can increase the performance up to 255 MIPS during parallel work.

The large on-chip RAM of 128k words is sufficient for the most of applications. 512k x 8 bit on-board Flash Memory can be used for non-volatile storage of boot loader program, custom programs, parameters, look-up tables and data. A 128k x 24 bit on-board RAM extensions is available as an optional extra.
The host interface and peripherals of the DSP56311 are available on connectors. All inputs are 5 V tolerant. The serial interface (SCI) of the DSP is equipped with RS232 line drivers to use the port for standard asynchronous communication, e. g. for communication with a PC.
The S.Module 563 comes with compatible mechanic and pinout to the D.Module processor board series, easy to expanded with different existing peripheral devices for data acquisition/data output and easy to integrate in custom designs.
